The Problem
Often times, devices which improve the quality of life are considered not necessary (lifesaving) by insurance companies. The lack of these technologies diminishes the quality of life for individuals who need them and can lead to complications down the line. These individuals are left to foot the bill for costly devices, which is exacerbated because many of them are unable to work.

NeuroPawn addresses this issue by allowing clinicians/engineers to create assistive brain-computer interfacing tools at a much more affordable rate. NeuroPawn’s affordability does not come at the cost of signal quality, as engineers at the Glenrose Hospital found that our kit matched or outperformed leading consumer EEGs while being a fraction of the cost.
All in all, the proliferation of NeuroPawn’s hardware and the software developed on it will continue to address the issue of affordability.
